Implementing Nested BOMs and Work Orders for a Assembly in NetSuite
Hi Team,
I received a request to implement a BOM (Bill of Materials) under another BOM. For example, let's take a Bicycle. The Bicycle is one assembly item. For that:
- I need to create tires with components of (Wheel, Tube, and Tire) (Unit A).
- Another as Handlebar with component of (Basket, Bell, Brake) (Unit B).
- And Seat with (Backrest, Seat Cover, Seat, Chain) (Unit C).
By combining all three units, I will get the Bicycle. So, in the sales order, I will give the item as Bicycle, and the work order needs to be created for all three units, right?
