Create a Work Order from an Opportunity

Hi All!

Is it possible to create a Work Order from an Opportunity?

We currently create Sales Orders from Opportunities, which we are then able to create Work Orders from, though is it even possible to bypass the SO stage?

Record Type in Parameters of a workflow do not include Work Order and nor does the option to create a work order from the Opportunity "Create New" drop down, so standard practice would say no.

Any help much appreciated
