Save & Edit Option for Transactions?

Is there a Save & Edit option available for transactions and entity records in NetSuite? When working with custom record definitions and PDF/HTML templates and such there is (see below), but not on transactions such as Sales Orders or Invoices. This seems like an oversight. There have been many times where users expressed frustration in having to save the record and press the Edit button again right after that, when a Save & Edit option would be much more convenient.


I looked at what's available on the form customization page, but didn't see anything there, either:


If NetSuite doesn't have a native way to achieve this, can it be done through other means, whether that is SuiteScript or Workflows?
