NSC | Tips on Journal Entry Approvals and the Reminders Portlet

When a user has permission to approve journal entries, the Reminders portlet on their Dashboard automatically displays a notification when journal entries are awaiting their approval. This portlet includes a direct link labeled Journals to Approve, which navigates the user to the Approve Journals page within their journal approval workflow.

The portlet also shows a count of journal entries where the user is designated as the Next Approver and the approval status is not yet marked as approved.

Take note that in some cases, the Reminders portlet may display a count of zero journal entries to approve, even when there are entries pending approval. This can occur if the journal approval workflow does not limit who is authorized to approve entries.
