New to NetSuite | Updating the “Document Number” Field in a Journal Entry via the User Interface
The Document Number field in a Journal Entry in NetSuite can be modified either manually through the user interface or in bulk via CSV import. In this article, we will begin by focusing on how to update the Document Number directly through the user interface, providing a step-by-step guide to ensure accurate and efficient changes.
To update the Document Number via the User Interface:
A. Enable the Allow Override preference for Journal
- Navigate to Setup > Company > Auto-Generated Numbers.
- Click the Document Numbers tab.
- Locate the Journal record type.
- Check the Allow Override box to enable manual editing of the Document Number.
