NSC | Enabling Minimum Quantity Settings on Item Records
Scenario:
Enable the ability to set minimum quantity on item records for internal NetSuite Sales and Purchase Orders only. The goal is to enforce a minimum quantity on Purchase Orders based on the default value defined on the Item Record.
Solution:
- Go to Customization > Forms > Entry Forms
- Look for Custom Inventory Part Form > Click Edit
- Go to Fields Tab > Sales and Pricing Subtab
- Look for Minimum Quantity > Mark "Show" Box
- Look for Maximum Quantity > Mark "Show" Box
- Click Save
- Global Search Item: BKR-19419340 > Click Edit
- Under Sales/Pricing Tab > Add Minimum and Maximum Quantity as you prefer
- Create a Sales Order via NetSuite's UI and you'll notice that the system will not accept orders which is lower than the minimum quantity.
