NSC | How to Fulfill Sales Orders When Assembly Builds Occur at a Different Location

Scenario:

A user creates a Sales Order under Location 1, but the related Special Work Order (WO) is created and built at Location 2. Because the Work Order and the Sales Order are associated with different locations, the system does not allow fulfillment of the Sales Order.

Despite the link between the Sales Order and the Work Order, inventory must exist at the Sales Order’s location to proceed with fulfillment. Allow the creation and build of a Work Order at a different location, transfer the resulting inventory to the Sales Order’s location, and fulfill the order there without system restriction.
