New to NetSuite | SuiteQL Join Type: Cross Joins
In the New to NetSuite | SuiteQL Overview article, we explored the fundamental concepts an d capabilities of SuiteQL. We continued this in New to NetSuite | SuiteQL: SuiteQL Join Types Overview, where we discussed various join types. In this article, we focus on one specific join type: Cross Joins.
A Cross Join is a type of SQL join that combines every row from one table with every row from another table. The result is called a Cartesian product. For example, if you have 5 customers and 4 employees, a cross join would give you 20 total combinations (5 x 4 = 20).
While Cross Joins can be useful, they can also be computationally expensive, especially with large tables. Use them only when necessary.
