NetSuite Admin Tip | Resolving SuiteScript Error When Accessing Customer Records
Administrators may occasionally encounter the following error message while attempting to view customer records in NetSuite:
Error "org.mozilla.javascript.EcmaError: TypeError: Cannot call method "updateDisplayType" of null (/SuiteBundles/Bundle 245812/com.netsuite.donormanagement/src/DonorIndividualForm/usecase/CustomerUEFormUseCases.js#49)"
This issue typically occurs when a required custom segment (e.g., “Household”) is not properly enabled or linked to the Customer entity. This guide outlines the steps to resolve the error through correct custom segment configuration.
