New to NetSuite | Understanding SuiteQL Syntax

In the New to NetSuite | SuiteQL Overview article, we explored the fundamental concepts and capabilities of SuiteQL. SuiteQL is a SQL-based query language used to retrieve data through SuiteAnalytics features and REST web services. It is NetSuite’s proprietary SQL implementation designed to support advanced querying for reporting and analytics.
Supported Syntax
SuiteQL supports the following:
- SQL-92 syntax
- Oracle SQL syntax
- Specific SQL functions
Note: You cannot mix SQL-92 and Oracle SQL in the same SuiteQL query.
Example Queries
Here’s a simple example to compare SQL-92 and Oracle SQL in SuiteQL:
