Business Activity Statement: How are gift cards treated?
Hi
We are using the NetSuite connector (formally 'Farapp') with Shopify.
When gift cards are redeemed, they are shown as discount items on the sales order.
This is in line with the recommended set up for the NetSuite connector.
The issue is, this reduces the reported income for the Business Activity Statement since the gift card redemption artificially discounts the whole order by 100%.
Is this a defect with the Business Activity Statement?
That must be a way around this so that redemption of the gift card doesn't impact sales income in the Business Activity Statement.
