What is a Return Authorization?

The Return Authorization permission in NetSuite controls a user’s ability to create, view, edit, and manage return authorizations—transactions that handle customer returns of products.

Purpose:

• Allows users to process returned items from customers in a standardized, trackable manner.
• Initiates the official return process for items sold, ensuring the return is authorized before inventory and financial changes occur.
