New to NetSuite | Transaction Permission > Credit Memo Permission
As part of our ongoing New to NetSuite series, we have previously explored the New to NetSuite | Permissions and delved into the New to NetSuite | Permissions > Transaction Subtab.
In this article, we will focus on one specific and powerful permission within this category: Credit Memo
This permission is used to control access to Credit Memos, which are AR transactions that reduce a customer’s balance (e.g., returns, billing corrections, pricing adjustments).
It specifically:
- Allows usage of the Credit Memos task
- Allows usage of the Issue Credit Memos task
- Allows usage of the Search Credit Memos task
- Allows usage of the Credit Memo reminder
