New to NetSuite | SuiteApprovals Enhancements in NetSuite 2026.1

in Basic Accounting

NetSuite 2026.1 introduces several enhancements to SuiteApprovals, with a focus on streamlining and strengthening the Journal Entry approval process. These updates are designed to improve control, visibility, and speed across approval workflows. 

 

NetSuite 2026.1 improves SuiteApprovals handling for Journal Entries, including capabilities such as record locking to help maintain data integrity during the approval lifecycle. 

 

Re-approval Settings   

New or enhanced re-approval settings provide more flexibility and control over when approvals should be re-triggered, supporting stronger governance and reducing exceptions. 

 

Improved Record Integration   

Approval-related tools are better integrated directly within records, including: 

  • Approval Portlet 
  • Suite Approvals Reminders Portlet 

This improves usability for approvers by surfacing relevant approval information in the right context.
