NSC | Using a Different 1099 Address from the Vendor Remit Address
Scenario
A user needed to manage vendors that use a different address for 1099 reporting than their default remit to address in NetSuite.
While maintaining vendor records with multiple addresses, the user wanted to know if there was a way to identify or designate a separate address specifically for 1099 reporting purposes without changing the vendor’s primary remit address.
Solution
In NetSuite standard functionality, vendor records can contain multiple addresses. However, there is currently no dedicated field or option to explicitly designate one address as the vendor’s 1099 address.
For 1099 reporting, NetSuite uses the Primary Address on the vendor record as the address associated with the 1099 form.
