NSC | Automating Default Shipping Address Selection for Replacement Orders
Scenario
A user wanted to improve the process of selecting shipping addresses for replacement Sales Orders in NetSuite.
When manually creating a new Sales Order, NetSuite automatically defaulted the shipping address from the customer’s first order instead of using the customer’s most recently used shipping address. Because of this behavior, the Customer Experience team needed to manually update the shipping address for every replacement order.
This process created several operational challenges, including:
- Additional manual work for each replacement order
- Increased risk of shipping products to outdated addresses
- Higher volume of customer follow ups and support requests
- Product loss due to incorrect shipments
