NSC | Billing Schedule Records Cannot Be Used in Saved Searches
Scenario
A user wanted to review all pending billing tied to a Billing Schedule applied to a Sales Order. However, the user found that there was no option to create a Saved Search directly on Billing Schedule records.
The user wanted to know whether this was a system limitation and whether there was any workaround to view transaction level billing schedule details.
Solution
Billing Schedules are setup records that act as templates. The actual billing activity is driven by transactions such as Sales Orders and Invoices, along with internal schedule line data.
Because of this design, reporting is expected to be done from transaction searches or billing transaction records rather than from the Billing Schedule record itself. As a result, this is a platform limitation by design.
