In NetSuite 2026.2, Administrators should pay close attention to the new notices shown during bank data import. The update highlights that imported bank transaction memo fields may contain sensitive information, including bank account numbers, credit card numbers, and addresses. This is an important reminder for admins who manage bank reconciliation setup and review imported files before they are processed.
What Changed in 2026.2
NetSuite 2026.2 now displays banners on both the Format Profile and Upload File pages to warn users about sensitive content that may appear in imported bank transaction memo fields. In the same release, some account-linking warnings may appear on the Account Linking subtab instead of at the top of the page. That makes it especially important to review the subtab carefully during setup and troubleshooting. The bank reconciliation workflow still centers on format profiles for configuration and the Upload File page for manual imports.
Where to Find It
For format profile setup, go to:
- NetSuite: Setup > Accounting > Financial Institution > List > View Format Profile
- NetSuite Next: Open the Explore menu (Ask Oracle icon in the bottom right corner), and in the menu, go to Setup > Accounting > Financial Institution List > View Format Profile
For manual bank file uploads, go to:
- NetSuite: Transactions > Bank > Bank Matching and Reconciliation > Match Bank Data > Upload File
- NetSuite Next: Open the Explore menu (Ask Oracle icon in the bottom right corner), and in the menu, go to Transactions > Bank Reconciliation > Import Bank File
If you are troubleshooting linked accounts, check the Account Linking subtab directly, since warnings and account-specific issues can now be surfaced there.
Admin Notes
This change is a good reminder to treat imported bank files as potentially sensitive records. Review access to banking-related roles, confirm that only authorized users can upload or edit format profiles, and make sure your internal process includes a review step for imported data before reconciliation begins. If you are testing in a sandbox, validate the warning placement and your team’s review steps there first so users know where to look in production.
