Item Demand Planning - is Sales after Projections Start Date being considered?

When using Nertsuite Demand Planning, since the Projection Start Date is always the beginning of the month (i,e Oct 1, 2020), if we run the item demand planning at the mid of the month (say Oct 15), then for the sales from the beginning of the month through the mid of the month, will the sales data be considered/included in the demand planning? If not, how to make it being included/considered?
