Import updates to Custom records - Internal ID

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:22PM in Ask A Guru 13 comments

I am attempting to import updates to custom records and am running into the issue where I do not have the internal ID or record ID to use to link the CSV data to NetSuite custom records. I do have access to external ID field but I have not been populating this field so that does not currently help me. Just curious why this would not be exposed on import updates to help manage the data.

  1. Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records
  2. Scan and Upload CSV
    1. IMPORT TYPE: Custom Records
    2. Record Type: {My Record}
    3. One File to Upload
  3. Import Options
