Expected Receipt Date on WMS PO Selection Screen

edited Aug 31, 2021 9:28PM in Ask A Guru 2 comments

Hi there,

we've been using NetSuite WMS for some time, and one of the problems that has remained unresolved is identifying the correct PO number when receiving goods into our warehouse. Unfortunately our main supplier cannot print shipping labels with this information. Many of our POs are processed as partial shipments and one shipment will typically contain around 5-10 different POs which are not packed separately.

When our warehouse scans the goods during receiving, often there will be multiple open POs for the same item, so they'll get a selection like this:

Unfortunately, due date is a body field, i.e. just one date for the entire PO, but we often have split shipments with several different delivery dates for different lines within the same PO. Also, because of the delivery conditions, due date is the date when the goods should leave our supplier's warehouse, not when they arrive with us. Because of different shipping methods (air vs. sea) the due date is not helpful for deciding which PO to receive first.

Howdy, Stranger!
