Creating a inventory sell through saved search /report

Hi i was wondering if it was possible to create a saved search report to evaluate the speed/velocity of product.

i am looking at writing the following formula:

Sell through rate = total units sold per day / (units on hand that day + any inventory units received that day)

Sorry i am kinda new to this, hoping someone could help me/ guide me of how best to wrote the formula for this kind of report.
