Saved Search to find Matrix subitems and their parent item

I'm trying to do some formulas in a saved search which gives me the following:

1.If the item is a sub matrix item

2.If is a sub matrix item, what is the item number of the parent?

The following displays yes for items that have a parent but we have multiple layers of parents.

CASE WHEN {parent} is not null then 'Yes' else 'No' END
