Unbalanced inventory in transit

I reconciled my Inventory in Transit account by following the SuiteAnswer Id: 37836.

The result was a number of transfer orders that were fulfilled and received with different amounts on the Inventory in Transit account.

Why does this happen?

As a result I get a higher inventory cost in the receiving location than it should have, and I don't understand where that amount is coming from.

If anyone can provide any leads, I'd appreciate.
