saved search to show total usage by item and date/date range

Good morning,

I am trying to build a saved search that shows item usage by part number. For example part number a total usage in May. This should combine both sales and components used in work orders. I am running main line issues. Has anyone developed something similar or knows of a way natively to get this data out of NetSuite?
