Not able to override the delivery fee for add-on orders.

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:29PM in Ask A Guru 4 comments

When setting up our Company, we had a requirement for a field to exist allowing us to enter a value for the delivery fee of each customer, which would also display on their Sales Order and Invoice. The implementation team created a custom entity field named "Delivery Fee" (Field ID: custentity_cd_delivery_fee) to display on the Customer profile. When a Sales Order is created, the Shipping Cost field displays 0.00. When saved, it updates to the value stored in the Delivery Fee field from the customer's profile.

We need to be able to create a Sales Order and override the updating of the Shipping Cost field for cases where it's an Add-on order.
