Default Sales Order Location By Customer

Is there a way to default the ship-from location of all items on a sales order by customer? Ideally there would be a "ship-from" custom field set up on the customer. Every sales order entered for this customer would default to that location. How can that be done? ... or any other ideas would be much appreciated.
