Generate Sales Order from Project - via API

Is there a way to use an API to generate the Sales order from the Project?

I can't seem to find a way to do this using the API.

This is from the menu on the project record - Create new sales order.

We are using milestone billing.

Open to other ways such as via SOAP and REST.
