How to use Freemarker in an e-mail template to add x days to a date?

I am working on an automated e-mail order acknowledgment to go out to customers. For will-call orders we have a policy that they must be picked up within seven days or the order will be canceled. Within the body of the e-mail, I would like to state the latest date the order can be picked up before it is canceled. I can bring in the ship date but can't seem to figure out how to add seven days to it.


Any help would be appreciated.
