How to prevent MRP Planned order consolidation of supply for different Demand orders?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:31PM in Ask A Guru 6 comments

Our customer would like to have the Transfer orders created grouped by the demand orders.

This is the situation: Aluminiumcan250ml is a component in 2 Assemblies.

For a workorder for assembly 1 there are 30 units of Item A needed

For a workorder fto build assembly 2 there are 36 units of Item A needed

When the supply planning has run a planned order, type Transfer order, is created based on the Planning rule group for a correct quantity 66.

Our customer would prefer to have 2 transfer orders created for the same item with the same TO and FROM locations:

1 transfer order for 30 units

1 transfer order for 36 units

Howdy, Stranger!
