Is it possible to close future period without closing priod periods?

Dear,

I have the following question concerning period close:

Can you close a later period before an earlier adjustment period?

Example : Is it possible to close Jan 2023 before Adjustment Period 2022 was closed?

Potential reasons that adjustment period 2022 is not closed: audit was not finished
