Is there a solution to track Inventory Activity in NetSuite?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:34PM in Ask A Guru 9 comments

Hi community!

When I'm looking at an item record, I want to be able to see a subtab or view that shows me the transactions that added or deducted units from the Stock On Hand. I'm looking for something similar to the standard Inventory Activity Detail report. To try to solve this, I created a search that shows all transactions related to the Stock On Hand account, but it only shows Purchase Orders and Item Receipts, and doesn't show transactions related to sales or assemblies.

I also tried creating a search with a type condition, but it doesn't work well for our business because we don't always use Item Fulfillments; sometimes we complete the entire sales process from the Invoice. When I have a transaction created from a Sales Order, the type search shows duplicate transactions (Item Fulfillment and Invoice). Additionally, we use Work Orders, so when we have assemblies, the Stock is reduced, but those transactions don't appear in this search either.
