How to Mass Update Build/Reorder Point and Preferred Stock Level with Multi Location AIM?

i am trying to use mass update to enter quantities for build/reorder point and preferred stock level to a set of locations. when i preview the mass update it shows it will update both fields with the number entered. after running the update successfully no data changes in the fields i have set to update. does anyone have any info on updating these fields with mass update with a multi location inventory?
