Ship Date on Saved Search

I am trying to create a super simple search.

Sales Order Number, Customer Name and Ship Date. I have not been able to get "Ship Date" to display.

I am now told that if you have demand planning enabled, you cannot show ship date on a search result. This makes no sense to me. It is a field in a database and I can see it in the sales orders.

I simply don't believe that there is not a work around or solution to displaying this.

Anyone got any ideas ?
