How to convert1 stock item to another stock item (Assembly Items)?
I am trying to work out the best option for the following process:
- Item A is bought in bulk from a supplier (i.e. multiple pallets of the item)
- Item A is sold 'as is' to customers (typically in individual units)
- 1 Pallet of Item A is shipped to a partner company
- During this process, that pallet of Item A's is not available to be sold to any customers as it is not 'in stock'
- We pay the partner company to spray the products a different colour
- That Pallet of Items is then shipped back to us, and needs to be booked in as Item B
