Please note that on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 8:00 PM Pacific time, our Case Management System will undergo a scheduled maintenance for approximately 4 hours. During this time, case creation via SuiteAnswers will be unavailable and inbound calls will be routed to Customer Service.
Why does Allocation Strategy does not allocate properly?
We use order allocation to allocate future; purchase orders, inbound shipments, and work orders. We also have our allocation strategy set to "Allocate as close as possible to supply required by date".
But an attribute of doing this has NetSuite allocating off of the above mentioned even when it's the current day. This results in us having plenty of available inventory in house but all orders for those items allocating off of the future inventory instead.
Is there a way to configure the allocation strategy to, when it's the current day, allocate from inventory instead of the; inbound PO, work order, inbound shipment so those orders can be fulfilled?
