Class appears on which GL accounts

We have class as a segment populating from our item master, and I see the segmentation on some GL accounts and some GL transactions and not others. For example, the IA has the segment recorded on the inventory account, but not the scrap account. The Item Cost Revalution is not showing a class at all. How can I know which transactions are supposed to reflect that segmentation, and which are not?
