Document Versioning / Revision - Estimates and Purchase Orders

Has anyone found a way to track revisions of estimates and purchase orders.

If we send an estimate or purchase order to a customer/vendor but then make a change to it and resend we would like a revision number to show (which we could do with a workflow) but we also then want to be able to see each copy of the previous revisions - the document that was sent to the supplier. NetSuite does not seem to store a copy of the document when printed and we don't always email out from within NetSuite,
