MRP Supply Planning run generates Work Order in Planned status and Planned Work Order

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:46PM in Ask A Guru 4 comments

Hi,

  1. I have setup Supply Planning MRP and it is generating Planned Work Order (record type "plannedorder") in the first four weekly buckets and then on Work Order in Planned Status (record type "workord") from 5th week up to 52 weeks. Can someone please explain if there is some parameter / configuration that needs to be setup correctly so that the Work Orders are generated as Planned Work Order ("plannedorder") throughout the 52 weeks horizon?
  2. Also, is there a way to mass delete the planned orders - Planned Work Orders and Planned Purchase Orders (record type "plannedorder")?
  3. Further, I deleted demand of the MPS item (Qty 20,000) in some 12th week and when I ran the MRP again, I was expecting the system to delete the Planned Work Order generated in the previous run. But it didn't, instead it pegged the demand of future buckets to this Work Order.
