We use resource allocations, charge based projects wit billing rate cards containing service items and billing classes all over the spectrum (on employees, resources, items, cards, …).

The easiest way to enter time, is to select the project task on your list of allocations and then register time on that project task.

When doing this HOWEVER the service item is not filled in. I would expect it to get sourced from your rate card, but it is not. Users will now have to decide the item on their own, which will create errors.

we could go and create a task assignment for each employee and have the item there, but that just doubles the work.
