Configuring GS1 Datamatrix for WMS

Hi there. I setting up advanced barcoding for WMS and am having troubles getting GS1 Datamatrix barcodes working. Ive setup the System rule to use GS1 and have been following the following documentation:

Im trying to create GS1 barcodes for carton quantities (eg. CODE [AI-01]: EAN14 & QTY[AI-30]: 6). I have been able to create a Datamatrix that succsellfully scans the item using item alias' however the quantity still scans as 1. I am using Tally Counting too.

Has anyone had any luck with GS1 Datamatrix barcodes?
