Why do Pricing Saved Search Custom Pricing Item Has So Many Lines?

I know I can just group the result fields but it is bothering me that I can't figure out why this is happening. The items that have a price level of custom have hundreds of lines. I can't figure out why there are so many. Any item that isn't custom just has one line. What is going on here? What is causing so many duplicate lines? Also, why would the internal ID be negative? Thank you.
