Same Planned orders that are pegged in different supply plans

Hi community,

I have a situation where I run different supply plans and I detected that some planned orders are being used for a different supply plan that the one that originated the planned order.

is this a normal behaviour?  Can this be avoided? if we need to mass release orders might generate doubts.

Hi @mardel,

Per checking, this can happen when you're running multiple supply plans. The system may reallocate planned orders across different plans. You may check the date because if there are overlapping dates between supply plans, the system may allow planned orders from one supply plan to be fulfilled by supplies created under another plan. Say a work order or purchase order generated by one plan might satisfy demand in another.

To avoid this, in general, you have to refrain from running multiple supply plans at a time. You can also review the parameters set on your Supply Plan Definitions. However, I recommend filing a support case for this as they have the necessary tools to determine what's causing the behavior you're experiencing.
