NetSuite Automated Email to show total amount Difference on PO

Hello,

I am wondering if this is possible via a saved search automated email or Workflow?

I want NetSuite to send out an email when the total amount on a Purchase Order increases by a 50$ difference after the PO has a status of approved. I thought I might be able to achieve this using a saved search, but I am not quite sure of the formula or maybe even a workflow is needed? If anyone could assist me, that would be greatly appreciated.
