How is purchase lead time calculated?

We have "Auto-calculate Purchase Lead Time" enabled for most items. How many Purchase Orders/Item Receipts are required before NetSuite is able to calculate Purchase Lead Time?

We have some items with a single Purchase Order and Item Receipt to a particular location, yet the purchase lead time at this location has not yet been calculated.
