GL Impact of inbound shipments using EXW incoterms
Hi There
I have two purchase orders on an inbound shipment with different incoterms.
Reading through Suiteanswers (63052), I would assume that the impact on inventory of goods recorded in the inbound shipment will be determined by the incoterms.
For example, if one of the POs has EXW as an incoterm, I would expect the value of the PO to show under 'Inventory in Transit' (system generated account) as soon as the 'In Transit' button is pressed on the inbound shipments transaction.
However, that is not the case.
Does this require the 'Transfer ownership' transaction to be completed before the PO value shows under 'Inventory in Transit'?
