How to restrict vendor visibility by category for a custom role in NetSuite?
Hi everyone,
I’m working with a customer who has a specific requirement around vendor access, and I’m looking for advice or ideas.
They’ve created a custom role for a subset of their team that should only be able to make purchases from vendors where Vendor Category = Supplier (they’re using three categories total). The requirement is that users with this role should only see and access vendors in that category, and have no visibility or interaction with vendors from other categories.
Here’s what we’ve tried so far:
A workflow to block access, but vendors from other categories still appear in dropdowns on transactions.
