Approval Workflow error: Attempt to change a read only field
Just curious if anyone else is seeing this error more frequently from transaction approval workflows.
I have been encountering this error message when using workflow added buttons that move a transaction between approval states in an approval workflow. I encountered this error with, Expense Reports, Purchase Orders and Vendor Bill approval workflows. The workflow is configured to update the native Approval Status field and a custom field with the values, "Rejected" (from the Approval Status list) and a text value, "Closed", respectively after a transition to a new workflow state.
Upon clicking the button, the user sees the error: "Attempt to change a read only field" after a screen refresh.
