You can have a default lead time set in the preferences. However, on the item record you would have to turn off the auto calculate and set the lead time. If auto-calculate is on it disables your ability to set the value at the location level.

you should be able to do a join from the item to the transaction fields. However it may be better to go from the transaction and pull the related item fields. What are you wanting to show exactly in your saved search to better help provide the steps to accomplish your goal.
