I would like to have a way to create a really comprehensive snapshot, containing ALL the needed material, so I can later upload a snapshot without any further configuration steps.  That snapshot would include all needed settings for the OAC instance plus also all the IDCS configuration.

As an alternative, if I could have the current "includs everything" snapshot plus another file where I have the additional elements, like IDCS, and all the other OAC settings that currently do nto get stored in the snapshot, that would also work.  A little mofre manual work to restore, but still manageable.

Today, i take snapshots, but when i upload, there are several configuration steps I need to re-do manually.

 

Use Case and Business Need

Use Case:   customer needs to rebuild instance using a snapshot.   When customer uploaads the snapshot, the instance still is not in the same status as it was before.  There are items that today do NOT get included in the snapshot.

 

Business Need:  Customer needs a proficient way to rebuild instance entirely, from a snapshot, without further steps.

today the so called "include everything" snapshot does not include all aspects of the instance.  Therefore, uploading a snapshot is not enough to rebuild an instance. 

Note: it is important to have a snapshot of the IDCS configuration as well.
